Help Save Lives – Support the KIRF Jatlan Dialysis Centre

Since 2020, Trustees and Volunteers have been actively fundraising through PAKTRUST.ORG (Reg. No. 1113301) to support the Kashmir International Relief Fund (KIRF) Dialysis Centre in Jatlan, Mirpur.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our UK donors, the centre officially opened in June 2021, providing critical free dialysis treatments to those in urgent need—Alhamdulillah. The centre has gone from strength to strength, and in 2022, it expanded to include dedicated treatment rooms for patients with Hepatitis B and C.

Since its launch, the centre has provided over 10,000 dialysis sessions, made possible entirely by the kindness of our donors. May Allah (SWT) accept your contributions as a source of Sadaqah Jariyah for you and your families.

The Ongoing Need for Support

Dialysis is lifesaving, requiring at least two to three sessions per week for patients with kidney failure. Pakistan’s economic crisis has left more people struggling to afford medical care, pushing many middle-class families into poverty and making them dependent on Zakat and Sadaqah.

To sustain this vital service, we urgently need to raise £25,000. Each dialysis session costs approximately Rs. 7,000 (£25, subject to exchange rate fluctuations).

• £25 – Covers 1 dialysis session
• £100 – Covers 4 dialysis sessions
• £250 – Covers 10 dialysis sessions
• £1,250 – Covers 50 dialysis sessions
• £2,500 – Covers 100 dialysis sessions

You can also set up a monthly direct debit through the donation link below, with an amount that suits you. A regular donation of £50 per month (covering two dialysis sessions) ensures ongoing treatment for those in need.

PakTrust.org was established as a direct result of the devastating earthquake in Pakistan and Kashmir in 2005. A group of London-based professional family members, friends, relatives and supporters were spurred into action by the earthquake. Our original mission was to provide emergency relief and assistance to the earthquake victims.

Since then, our mission has been to implement charitable projects in Pakistan and Kashmir. Our projects provide maximum value for money for those providing the funds, and maximum help to the people that need it the most.

About KIRF

Kashmir International Relief Fund (KIRF) is a non-profit and non-governmental charitable organisation, registered with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council Islamabad under registration number 242/2005.

KIRF has been working in Azad Kashmir since 1992, to uplift the poor and unprivileged segment of the society, especially in rural and far-flung areas of the state by providing health, education and skills to women.

One of its proudest achievements is the 70 bed KIRF Community Hospital at Jatlan District Mirpur Azad Kashmir, completed in 2005, with 90% of the construction costs donated by overseas Kashmiri and Pakistanis residing in the UK.

A new KIRF Kidney Dialysis Centre has just been completed to provide life-saving dialysis treatment – making this vital healthcare accessible to the poor across a large area in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
